From download to first dictation.

The Mac release is signed and notarized. Installation should take three steps.

  1. InstallOpen the DMG and move LockedIn Flow to Applications.
  2. AllowOpen the app from Applications and grant Microphone and Accessibility access when macOS asks.
  3. DictateLet the one-time speech-model download finish, then hold Fn and speak into any normal text field.

If the download or recording fails

  • The download did not start: use the versioned 0.4.10 installer.
  • macOS reports a damaged or unverified file: delete that copy, download it again from this page, and compare the SHA-256 above. Do not bypass an unexpected security warning.
  • The microphone moves but no text appears: quit LockedIn Flow, confirm both permissions in System Settings → Privacy & Security, and reopen the app.

If it still fails, send support the exact step, Mac model, and macOS version. Do not include dictated text or other sensitive data.

Other platforms.

Windows

Not released. Development is underway, but there is no Windows installer today and no release date is promised.

Linux

Linux remains on the roadmap. Packaging and hardware validation have not begun, so there is no release date yet.
