Your voice. Your Mac.
Nobody else.

WHY WE BUILT THIS

We loved Wispr Flow. Then it kept letting us down.

It got us addicted first — dictation that stops you from wanting to type. Then came the other side of it: you dictate a full paragraph and it disappears. Or it freezes mid-sentence. Or it says you're offline when your internet is fine. Or you sit there watching a loading spinner, crossing your fingers that this time it works. And all the while, your voice — and periodic screenshots of your screen — are streaming to someone else's cloud, for $15 a month.

At some point we asked the obvious question: the Mac on the desk is more than powerful enough to do all of this itself. Why are we paying rent on a round-trip?

NO ROUND-TRIP

Instant, by construction

There's no server between your voice and your text. Parakeet TDT v3 runs on the Apple Neural Engine — the delay you hated wasn't your Mac. It was the trip.

NO VANISHING

A dictation can't disappear

Every dictation is written to an encrypted recovery store before insertion, and it's on your clipboard too. If insertion ever misses, ⌘V has it. Every time.

NO CROSSED FINGERS

It works because it has to

No login to lock you out of. No connection to drop. Unplug the network — after a one-time model download, dictation doesn't notice.

Three moves. Zero typing.

01 / START

Click, or hold a key

A small handle sits at the bottom of your screen and fades away when your cursor comes close. Prefer nothing on screen? Use the hotkey or the menu bar.

02 / TALK

Ramble if you want

Fillers, false starts, mid-sentence corrections — stripped. Parakeet TDT v3 transcribes on the Neural Engine at many times real-time, offline.

03 / DONE

Text at your cursor

A local cleanup model fixes grammar and tone for the app you're in — formal in email, casual in Slack, symbols in your editor. Always on your clipboard too.

WHY LOCAL WINS

The other guys stream your voice to the cloud.

Wispr Flow sends your audio — and periodic screenshots of your active window — to their servers, charges $15/month for it, and their privacy mode is opt-in. Locked In Flow has no server to send anything to.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Does anything leave my Mac?

No. Speech recognition and cleanup run on-device. The only network calls ever made are a one-time model download and optional update checks. Dictation works with the network cable unplugged.

How is this more than "speech to text"?

A second on-device stage rewrites rambling into clean prose, adapts tone to the app you're in, applies your personal vocabulary, and turns spoken symbols into code. You can always see raw vs cleaned with one click.

What about passwords?

Secure fields are detected and refused, always. Locked In Flow never reads screen content — Accessibility permission is used only to insert text and to identify password fields so it can stay out of them.

Will it learn my terminology?

Yes — teach a correction once and it sticks. It also suggests terms you use often, from your own local history. Nothing is trained on your data; adaptation lives in your encrypted dictionary.

What do I need to run it?

Any Apple Silicon Mac on macOS 15 or later. A one-time ~600 MB model download; everything runs offline after that.

Why one-time pricing?

Because the compute is yours. There's no server bill to pass on, so there's no subscription to justify. You buy the software, you own it.
